Plated Through Hole Assembly
Since opening for business in 1974 EMA has been manufacturing printed circuit assemblies utilising plated through hole components. Our manufacturing team is highly experienced in assembling both plated through hole and mixed technology (a combination of plated through hole and surface mount assembly methodologies).
As technology moves on, today’s assemblies typically contain a heavy bias towards surface mount components, but through hole parts are still commonplace components in the industry. With this in mind EMA offers lead free soldering of through hole components to PCBA’s.
This capability to manually attach through hole components can be very advantageous for EMA and it’s customers as it can be cost effective option for low to medium volume runs.
All of our soldering operators are trained to SVQ level 2 and work to IPC-A-610 Class 2 & 3. Our manual soldering stations have been optimised to ensure best handling practices are guaranteed.
